Christmas Music on Sirius XM

Sirius XM is giving you plenty of reasons to celebrate this Christmas. Not only does the streaming service offer you music, but you can also take part in a contest that will give you a chance to win tickets to a Pentatonix concert. You can also stream the Rockin" Xmas channel, which will feature classic holiday tunes, from the Bee Gees to AC/DC. And if you"re not into rock, you can also choose to listen to the jazz-flavored Holiday Pops. Streaming and satellite radio channels will continue to feature a full lineup of Christmas music through December 27.

There are more than a dozen different Christmas music channels available to you, including a few genre-specific options. If you"re looking for more traditional Christmas songs, check out the Hallmark Channel Radio, which features carols and other timeless Christmas favorites. Another option is the SXM App, which offers jazz and Hanukkah-themed holiday tunes.

For those who prefer contemporary Christmas music, check out the Jingle Jamz channel. This station features a mix of R&B and hip-hop artists from the 1990s to today. Featured artists include Gucci Mane, Boyz II Men, DMX, and Ludacris. Kids Christmas is another channel with music for the whole family. It includes popular tunes like "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Frosty the Snowman".

The Christmas Spirit channel will feature contemporary Christian artists. It will air on channel 63 from Dec. 7 until Dec. 27, but you can also stream it online through the SXM app. All music will be commercial-free.

Another new addition to the SXM App is Noel Incontournable, which features contemporary Christmas hits from the 1960s to the present. Featuring such performers as Bruno Pelletier, Laurence Nerbonne, and Ginette Reno, this station will be available through Sunday, December 26.

In addition to traditional Christmas music, Sirius XM also offers a wide variety of other holiday favorites. Their Business channel offers 10 holiday-themed business channels, which include classic holiday tunes, classical, soul, and Hanukkah music.

To add to the fun, Sirius XM recently announced the introduction of three new holiday channels: Holly, Jolly, and Christmas Spirit. They are available for streaming and car-radio listening beginning this week. Also, the company has announced plans to expand its holiday music lineup by adding 15 commercial-free holiday channels. Some of these are already on their streaming channels, but the others are scheduled to launch this year.

As we"re nearing the end of the holiday season, Sirius XM is offering listeners an opportunity to vote on which song they"d like to hear next. You can vote for your favorite holiday music, or vote for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra version of "Silent Night" for a chance to win tickets to their December 27 concert.
